Every day an average of 91 Americans are lost at the hands of a gun. Whether it be through suicide, violent crime, an accidental killing, mass shooting or domestic violence related homicide, this number grows daily to amass more than 30,000 gun deaths each year. Gun violence in this number does not happen in other developed countries and does not need to be an American reality. 91 of US seeks to humanize the statistics of daily gun violence in the U.S. and create a space for an open, fact-based, bipartisan conversation addressing the issue. Gun violence in the U.S. is a multifaceted issue and needs an equally multifaceted response to be affective. This is the conversation and education we strive for at a 91 of US event.

TODAY IN THE USA

57 Americans will die from firearm related suicide,
34 from firearm related homicide,
and 2 from an accidental or unintentional shooting

Daily US gun deaths
91 is not just a statistic. These are 91 children, neighbors, siblings, parents, and friends. 91 empty chairs in classrooms and dinner tables and offices. Its 91 Americans. It’s 91 of US. It is our hope that once we view the number that way we will all be compelled to help participate in lowering it.
